This is the fifth in a series of five one-day classes Chef Jon created to inspire a love of cooking. His workshops expose young chefs to a variety of culinary techniques, foster an appreciation of cooking at home, and encourage independence and creativity in the kitchen. Each workshop was thoughtfully designed to cover a range of cooking techniques using ingredients that are affordable and readily available. Participants will leave with a shopping list, recipes, a sample of the day’s creations, and most importantly, the lifelong confidence that is necessary in the kitchen. Previous experience in Basic Camp is beneficial but not mandatory.
HOLIDAY HORS D’OEUVRES: Need some help this holiday season? Sign your young chef up for this special all-day workshop. While you're doing your holiday shopping, they will learn to make a variety of kid-friendly hors d’oeuvres, perfect for your next holiday gathering. The workshop will conclude with Jr. chefs hosting a food tasting with parents as the guests. This class will run from 12:30pm* - 4:30pm and the parent tasting will run from 4:30pm - 5:00pm. This cost for this class is $75.00 and includes tastings for two adults.
