Basic Camp Week 4
Basic Cooking Camp
Jr. Chef’s work in teams of four. Each day is a different session in which we kids learn the basic skills they need to cook safely and enjoy it!
Mornings in Basic Camp are spent in the kitchen preparing 3 - 4 courses which they eat for lunch.
Monday through Thursday afternoons are spent in activities and games related to food, nutrition and etiquette. One of the favorite games is Food Jeopardy!
Friday is the Showcase. Jr. Chef's prepare dishes they've made throughout the week to share with their guests as well as highlights from things they've learned all week. Two guests are included with each camp tuition. Jr. Chef Showcase will be from 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM.

Mornings in Basic Camp (excluding the morning we go to the Farmer's Market) are spent in the kitchen preparing 4 courses which they eat for lunch. On the day of the Farmer's Market field trip the Jr. Chef's will have a shorter time in the kitchen and will prepare things they gathered at the market for lunch.

On the Friday of Basic Camp our Jr. Chef's prepare a guest buffet luncheon. Jr. Chef's will have the opportunity to invite two guests to join them for buffet luncheon served from 12:30 - 1:30. Two buffet lunches are included with camp tuition. Additional guest lunches may be purchased based on availability, during the week of camp, through our Camp Director for $10.00 each
Basic Camp can be repeated! We use new menus each summer.
Cost: $375.00 (Includes lunch, personalized apron, 2 Friday lunch buffets)

5 Day Advanced Camp
Advanced Camp is a program that truly enhances the culinary skills of kids who enjoy cooking. In addition to honing the concepts they learned in Basic Camp students will be introduced to the following: butchering, pastry making, food styling, and a field trip to a working farm.
